15.06.09 [Monday]

2nd day in KL. Uncle Sonny brought us to town for breakfast and dropped us at Pavilion. As usual, the first shop i will visit in Pavilion is Charles and Keith. I bought a pair of 3.5 inch peep-toes high heel and a pair of Guess sunglass.

The most happiest moment would be my heavenly high tea at Theobroma Chocolate Lounge (http://www.theobroma.com.au/). They serve wide range of hand made and Belgian styled chocolate products such as wide variety of chocolates, hot and cold chocolate beverages, chocolate deserts, melted chocolate dips and other variations of chocolate. Belgian Chocolate is my all time favourite. They have 3 types of Belgian Chocolate...dark, milk and white. We ordered Chocolate Affair which is a chocolate fondue with fresh strawberries, kiwi, bananas and oranges. For beverage, we ordered Queen Rock N Roll (milk chocolate) and Iceberg Lady (white chocolate). I also ordered a dark chocolate for take away. Chocolate Affair was superb. The conclusion for all 3 types of chocolate drinks are...dark chocolate is a little bitter for me, white chocolate is a little too sweet for me and milk chocolate is the best suits my taste. I misses Chocolate Lounge ever since i came back from KL. It's my heaven!

My first edited picture all by myself. *wink*

W.Lung and Me

Y.H. and Me

14.06.09 [Sunday]

Sunday started at 5.30am. Woke up…bath…took breakfast…depart to bus station. Bus departed at 8am and reached KL Pudu at 12.30pm. I can’t get any good sleep during the second half of the journey, thankx to the toddler shouting non-stop in th bus for no reason.

Aunt and Uncle Sonny brought us to the town oldest chicken rice shop named Nam Heong (Jalan Sultan) for lunch. Although chicken rice is never my favourite food, the meal was delectable. After lunch, we headed back to my aunt's house for a little rest.

We went to Sunway Piramid in the evening and had dinner there. 3 of us bought some clothes from Padini. Finally, i get to spend my RM100 padini cash voucher. We had dinner at Pasta de Gohan (http://www.pastadegohan.com/). It's my 3rd visit to the restaurant and my 3rd times ordering Cream Lobster. I am just too loyal to everything huh? :P W.Lung and Y.H. both felt that their dish is too rich with cheese which made them too full. I love cheese but i don't like cheese with rice. My day ends with satisfaction in food.

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen

I was more excited to see this film than any other. I finally got to see it at the cinema last night. The cinema was packed and there was reporters taking photos over the crowd. The movie was fantastic. It quickly got started and from there it never really let up, the action was constant with plenty of humour along the way. I love the new Twins Autobots. They are so cute! I am thinking of going to watch it in cinema again, it just worth every penny with all the excitement and hilarious. I rate it 5 stars *blink*

13.06.09 [Saturday]

Nothing much happened on Saturday. I woke up early to do some work before handling it to my manager during noon. I intended to start packing for my KL trip the next day after lunch but I was tired and lazy. So, I took a nap in the evening. W.Lung and I departed at 6pm to Y.H.’s house to pick him up for dinner in Queensbay Mall. Y.H. treated us dinner at Paddington House of Pancakes (http://www.paddingtonpancakes.com/) [thankx alot!]. I tried new dish name Banana Blinz. I can't really remember what the fillings are. I can only remember the main one which is Belgium chocolate, peanut butter, banana and etc. I don't really taste the peanut butter as it was covered with too much bananas. I still prefer the usual pancake that I ate which is filled with tick Belgium chocolate and peanut butter (I can't remember the name, will introduce it next time). After dinner, we went to shop for some snacks in Jusco before heading home to start my packing. As usual, it took me more than 3 hours to complete my packing and I went to bed at 1.30am.

10.06.09 [Wednesday]

It had been so many days I didn’t update my blog. Everybody was nagging me for the latest updates. Hello people…I am too busy having fun and travelling that I couldn’t pop up the time to really sit down and write something. There will be a long entry for 2 weeks updates. I wonder if I can remember all the details.

Wednesday is a movie day. I was working in client’s office at Prai and went home on 6pm sharp (thanks to my ‘boss’-guess who). I fled home with eagerness and manage to reach home before 7pm. W.Lung and Y.H. came picked me up by 7.30pm. We went gurney for dinner and movie. It was a small celebration for W.Lung’s last day of exam and Y.H.’s getting his Master’s report passed with condition plus a B+ for paper exam.

We had dinner at Sakae Sushi. I ordered Miso Soup, Ebi Tempura, Unagi Tofu, Chicken Teriyaki, Ikura Chawanmushi and two plain rice for me and W.Lung. Y.H. ordered his favourite Curry Katsu Don which is Japanese style curry chicken rice. Great dinner!

We watched 17 Again. I enjoyed the movie with laughter and tears. The part that I love the most was on the day of Mike O’Donnell (Zac Efron)’s divorce hearing with his wife, Scarlet (Leslie Mann). He shows up as Mark to read a letter from Mike O'Donnell, the contents of which touch her. However, upon seeing the "letter" (which is really just a piece of paper with directions on it), she realizes the truth. That was the most touching part of all.

Do you wish to be 17 again? Is there anything you wish to change or to do it right for a different future? Mike in the movie had always regretted for making the wrong decision when he was 17. He thought that his life would be better now if he had chosen to be a basketball star instead of marrying his current wife and to have a family with 2 children. It was until he turned back into 17 again that he realized that what he possessed are so important to him and he made the same decision 2nd time in his life. This is what always happened in our life. We always complaint of what we have and desired for other thing that we thought would be better than what we already have. There can be different arguments. To complaint about unsatisfactory can prompt us to change to become better or screwed up your life just like Mike who blamed his wife for 20 years and end up divorcing. To feel overwhelmed with gratitude for what we have will grant us with more peaceful life. Whichever it is, the best will always be balancing it. Are we at the balancing point?

Family Day

Sunday...a relaxing family day. Woke up at 10a.m., saw my uncle cooking and decided to skip breakfast to fill my stomach with all the pleasant-tasting dishes. I did not help in the kitchen but was busy taking pictures. Lunch started around 12.30pm. after the arrival of guests. After lunch, i can't wait to email the mounth-watering pictures to other families members staying outstation and overseas. I am looking forward to the coming Chinese New Year where everybody will be back again. Maybe this year i don't have to cook anymore as uncle is learning plenty of new dishes. So, i can focus on playing mahjong. Yeah!

The Secret

The Secret reveals the most powerful law in the universe. The secret of life.

From the Introduction :
In has been passed down through the ages, highly coveted, hidden, lost, stolen, and bought for cast sums of money. This centuries-old Secret has been understood by some of the most prominent poeple in history : Plato, Galileo, Beethoven, Edison, Carnegie, Einstein - along with other inventors, theologians, scientists, and great thinkers. Now The Secret is being revealed to the world.

"As you learn The Secret, you will come to know how you can have, be, or do anything you want. You will come to know who you really are. You will come to know the true magnificence that awaits you in life."

My favourite book. I was attracted by the book's name and cover in a bookstore. It gave me a very mystery feelings that i was so anxious to discover the content. 'The Secret' - what kind of Secret? After reading the book, i realised it's not at all a Secret, but it's something that's happening without us realising. It's all about the 'Law of Attraction'. I find it truthful with own experinces. I believe in the 'Law of Attraction'. We have to think positively and confidently to attract what we want. My friend always said that i bring luck in getting parking space. At first, i treated it as a joke and just simply agreeing with the statement. So, everytime before entering the car park, i will jokingly said to my friends that there sure will be a parking space nearest to the entrance, and most of the time it would be there for me. This happened long before i understood 'The Secret'. After learning 'The Secret', i started to apply the 'Law of Attraction' to other aspect of my life and become my philosophy of life. I would say, it really works as long as you believe in it. So, learn to think good thoughs all the time and good things will come to you.

Karen's Universe

It's so difficult to start write something. I can't even think of my own blog name. Well, this blog name was just happened to pop up in my mind during work today. I kinda love it and i searched for the Universe photos from Google. There you go...'Welcome to Karen's Universe'.

My first gift here would be my all time favourite nursery rhyme :

Star light, star bright,
The first star I see tonight;
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have the wish I wish tonight.
*make a wish*
